To fully benefit from our program we ask the following…
1. Arrive no later than 9:00am.
2. Every child needs to eat breakfast before drop off.
3. Circle time is at 9:00am, it’s a fun time that all children participate in.
4. Morning snack is a “breakfast-like snack”; cereal or cereal fruit bar. Choice of milk, 100% apple juice or Poland spring water.
Afternoon snack consists of pretzels, popcorn, crackers, cheese crackers, graham crackers with Poland spring water. Both snacks provide fresh fruit; as well as cheese sticks and yogurt. *special diets let us know*
5. Lunch time is also a great time to practice good manners and healthy choices. You will need to provide a healthy lunch, a “good for your body” snack and dessert. Your child should have a juice/milk box with a straw.
*No sippy cups for Toddlers 2, Preschool or Pre k Please! We do not heat-up or cook lunches.
6. Rest time is our quiet time. Not all children sleep, but all children will have quiet time on their own cot. It allows the children to rest their bones and teachers to prepare for the busy afternoon activities.
7. Calling during the day- Rest time is a great time to call your teacher if you have any questions or concerns. Call the parent line directly.
8. Supplies; every child needs a spare set (or 2) of clothing. LABEL, LABEL, LABEL, please. If we send soiled clothes home please send in a spare the following day. *Diapers and wipes supplies; we try to do our best to remind parents when supplies get low but it’s not always the case. It might be easiest if you bring in a pack every Monday for full-time children.
9. Outside time is twice a day. You need to send your child in prepared; SNEAKERS so they can climb, run and jump. Make sure they have proper clothing if we have a change of weather. We go out in the snow too!
10. Bringing toys to school: Leave the toys at home. Most of the classes have set show+tell days when they can share a specific toy. Over the years we have had some problems with toys from home. Toys get broken/lost, ownership arguments, children even give the toys away without permission, etc… please don’t be the bad guys; parenting can be hard and this is only the beginning.
